About Me
I am a passionate, driven creative teen who loves to work and collaborate with others. I love the art of visual story-telling and my favorite things to photograph are people dancing and having fun. I love going to live concerts and hearing bands play. I love blending my love of music and photography together. I take many of my photographs when I am out enjoying time with family or friends. I am a bit of a people watcher. Everyone has a story and the story can change with each capture. I think photography has a powerful way to connect us to people and I consider it to be a unique medium. I have been lucky enough to take online courses in color, design, and composition of photographs. My mom recognized my interest early and bought me my first camera when I was 12 years old. I have been taking pictures ever since. I look forward to developing my skills in this exciting field and exploring and expanding my subject matter.

My PhotographsHere are some photographs I took while at several concerts. I am currently taking an online course that teaches me about Photoshop and how to enhance my images. I will use those skills on all of my future photographs. Click on each image for a larger view.
I enjoy taking abstract images. I would like to try taking photos of nature and portraits one day.

How Photography Benefits Me
I have learned growing up in a church community full of love that we are born for one another. I know that I find more purpose in photography and life when I am trying to serve and help others. The more I’ve helped others, the more I’ve also helped myself. I would like to document the journey of musicians and music in general. I am however, open to other subjects. I want to share what happens when the moment freezes in the camera. Below is a gallery of images taken at my church during a rehearsal of our teen singers. The pews in the church were being refurbished over the week and I asked the pastor if I could use the space to photograph a rehearsal session. I enjoyed doing a mini photoshoot with them. The outside sunlight that spilled into the room made this a fun and dramatic shoot. I can't wait to do more of this! Once I am in college I expect to join photography clubs and continue mastering my skills. I really enjoyed learning about how to use lighting in this project.
